Restrictive Environment that he/she can successfully learn in...this
may include their local
public school,
home bound education, a
therapeutic school, or home schooling" Within the
public school placement
options may include:

Regular education classroom

Regular education classroom with special education
consult

Regular education classroom for portion of the day,
special education classroom for rest of the day

Special education classroom all day
Additional services may include an aid, speech therapy,
occupational therapy, social work services, special transportation, etc. Modifications may include: modified curriculum, sensory
breaks, sensory tools, assistive technology, etc. Depending on your child's condition they may qualify for
a temporary home
bound education.
If the child's needs can not be met within the public
school setting they may be considered for a
therapeutic school.
In certain cases it may be determined
home schooling is the
best option. |
