Care for the Giver
"I don't have time...I haven't gotten a haircut
in months...I can't believe my driver's license expired...what did I
eat today...sound familiar?"
This page is dedicated to us...the caregivers and to those that
inspire and support us. We miss you Linda O. but your teachings are
still in our hearts, minds and souls.
Whether
you care for a child, a parent, relative or
neighbor...who takes care of us? Do we take the time we need? Do we
savor quiet moments? Do we seek opportunities to laugh? Below are a few
suggestions:
- Take a break
- Ask a friend to do kid sharing
nights (you take their kids one night, they take yours another
night)
- Buy or rent your favorite comedy...better yet, go
to a comedy club
- Cuddle up with a novel
- Listen to your favorite CD
- Take a long shower
- Get your hair and nails done
- Buy a new outfit...in your favorite color
- Join your local YMCA
- Plant a butterfly garden
- Find a parent group through your school/district,
hospital or church
- Read Inspirational Quotes
- Take care of your health and well being (visit topics
to your left).
